How does it work?

Using radar technology, the sensor monitors a space from above, accurately detecting movement and the presence of people. This is done entirely without cameras, ensuring privacy is always protected. At the same time, the sensor continuously monitors air quality and indoor climate conditions. All measurements are combined into a single, comprehensive overview of what is actually happening within a space.

By combining occupancy and climate data, the sensor provides a reliable picture of both how a space is being used and the conditions people experience within it. This enables building systems such as ventilation, lighting, and climate control to be adjusted based on real-time demand, resulting in greater comfort, lower energy costs, and more efficient building management.

The Firefly sensor contains no camera and does not capture images or recordings of people. Detection is performed exclusively through radar technology, ensuring that individuals cannot be identified and that no privacy-sensitive data is collected or stored.

Plug & Play installation

The Firefly sensor is designed to make installation and management as simple as possible. Simply take the sensor out of the box, connect it to a power source, and it is ready to use. Thanks to LTE-M and Wi-Fi connectivity, no complex infrastructure or additional cabling is required to transmit data.

With precommissioning, each sensor is configured by our team in advance, minimizing installation time on site. Support for DALI control, Smart Fly functionalities, and mesh technology also ensures seamless integration with building management systems and other smart building solutions.

Fits into any ceiling

With a diameter of just 85 mm, the Firefly sensor is comparable in size to a standard recessed spotlight. This allows it to be discreetly integrated into virtually any space, ensuring it blends seamlessly into the interior without becoming a visually distracting element.
